I got the bug where I defeated Mirakk for the 4th time, then nothing happens.
To end the quest, go to console and type in "setstage DLC2MQ06 500" that will finish the quest and give you the dragon souls, though Miraak body is gone, so can't loot it.
Then type in "setstage DLC2MQ06 580" which will bring up the altar with the Black Book, and you can reset a perk, then go back to Solstheim where Frea will talk to you.

If you manually kill the other dragon - I'd advise riding Salohkniir until she's downed - then you can kickstart Miraak.

well it does help but the combat music gets stuck and wont stop. combat music gets stuck in an ENDLESS loop and it drives me crazy

I'm playing on ps3 legendary edition, last night I got the bug where miraak gets stuck in the centre dias.this is what worked for me.
I was using normal weapons but I had a zero cost destruction ring and I don't know if this is what caused the problems.
The first time he got stuck after consuming a dragon soul I tried different spells,shouts and I tried turning invisible and hiding from him nothing worked, so I used the bend will shout on saarathir(sp?) And I killed her myself making sure to run as far away as possible so as not to consume her soul myself.
This worked miraak became unstuck and I battered him again,no surprise after consuming the last dragon soul he got stuck again.
I thought I was buggered here but this is the point where turning invisible and hiding out of his line of sight behind a pillar of books did work, he came looking for me and I was able to get his health low enough to initiate the cut scene.
Afterwards I had no problems looting all his gear and the book appeared for me to return to solstheim,the only thing I noticed was the option to reset my destruction perks was missing, but I was able to speak to frea at skaal village and I got the werebear quest.
All without console comamds also the boss music didn't get stuck in a constant loop for me either.
This worked for me on 5th Nov 2014

Hi like to how i fix the Miraak bug on my game
- dismount the dragon, let him talk, begin fight.
- open console, write setstage dlc2mq06 500 miraak will be immoblize miraak
- attack Miraak, and he will go ethereal. Open console, click on him, write disable hit enter, don't exit CC then enable exit CC.
- at this point, Herma-mora appeared and impaled Miraak normally.
- you can kill the dragon afterward

That's weird, I tried both console commands, but it seemed like the second one (DLC2MQ06 580) worked and not the first one. Miraak does die and the quest ends (as well as me being able to loot his body and absorb the leftover souls), but the black book doesn't pop up and the perk circle thing doesn't show up. Help?

I've managed to solve this by killing one of the dragons (the one that keeps flying, seemed like he was the glitched entity that broke everything) before Miraak finished talking

I have problem while trying to kill miraak. when he absorbed his first sould, he does not materialized and therefore ha cannot be killed . please help me

Start to attack him with unenhanced sword, axe, etc. and star attack while he is still speaking to you when you land on the top of tower.... when he consume 2nd dragon go away from him and let him fight for a while with the 3rd dragon... after for example 2 minutes go and fight him again... after absorbing 3rd dragon go full dmg, he loose his hp and it shlould run the animation with Mora killing Miraak and it's done:) It worked for me so I hope it will help you:)

It worked, kind of, Miraak was too weak for me, because when I fought the Cultist, they were too stong for me. Then I come back with Dedric armor and I kill Miraak before he can heal, then I resurrect him... 10 times, then he is invisable for some reason and I tyoed the code in and now it still says I havent killed him yet... but I got the book, but I cant leave, because dragons.

Killing him to quickly can cause problems, if you look at the bugs list it says to kill the dragons first (and theres some other things on there so have a look). If you just want out of the book try the command -
coc DLC2SkaalVillage01
